Developer’s Kits
PMD Developer Kits provide a complete hardware and software environment for motion control design using PMD’s ICs, drives, amplifiers, and controller boards. Each kit typically includes:
- Surface-mount card or drive unit
- Interconnection cables and mounting hardware
- Pro-Motion® motor setup and optimisation software
- C-Motion® and VB-Motion® development tools
- Sample code, schematics, and full documentation
These kits support rapid prototyping, system evaluation, and custom application development across a range of motor types and control architectures.
ION®/CME N-Series Digital Drives
The ION/CME N-Series Developer’s Kit supports rapid integration with PMD’s compact, high-performance digital drives. Designed for multi-axis motion systems, robotics, and precision automation, it enables fast prototyping and reliable deployment across CANopen, RS-232/485, and SPI interfaces. Built-in motion profiles, PID control, and encoder feedback make it ideal for demanding control environments.
ATLAS Digital Amplifiers
The ATLAS Developer’s Kit simplifies amplifier integration for brushless DC, DC brush, and step motors. With flexible 1, 2, or 4-axis configurations and modular mounting options, it’s well-suited for scalable OEM platforms. The kit supports vertical and horizontal layouts, optional heat sink tabs, and streamlined connectivity for external control logic.
Prodigy/CME Machine-Controller
The Prodigy/CME Developer’s Kit provides a robust platform for building embedded motion control applications. Supporting coordinated multi-axis control, it’s ideal for standalone systems or host-managed environments. Compatible with CAN, RS-232/485, and Ethernet, it offers flexible integration and real-time performance tuning
ION Digital Drives
The ION Developer’s Kit offers a quick-start solution for evaluating PMD’s digital drive technology. Available in 500 W and 3000 W models, with CAN or Serial communication options, it supports encoder feedback, profile generation, and flexible I/O. Ideal for motor tuning, system testing, and embedded drive integration.
MAGELLAN Motion Control ICs
The DK58420 Developer’s Kit supports Magellan MC58000 and MC55000 chipset families, enabling multi-axis motion control for Brushless DC, DC Brush, and step motors. It supports profile generation, PID loops, encoder input, and multiple motor command formats including SPI Atlas, PWM, and ±10V analogue. Suitable for advanced motion IC evaluation and amplifier interfacing
This developer kit supports the MC58110, MC58120, MC58220, MC58320, MC58420, MC55110, MC55120, MC5220, MC55320, and MC55420 Magellan chipset ICs.
JUNO Motor Control ICs
The DK78113 Developer’s Kit supports PMD’s 64-pin TQFP Juno ICs, offering single-axis motion control with integrated 250 W digital amplifier. It supports velocity and current control, encoder feedback, and shunt features. Ideal for compact embedded designs requiring precise motor regulation and real-time control.
This developer kit supports the MC71112, MC73112, MC71113, MC73113, MC74113, MC75113, and MC78113 Juno IC P/Ns.
