IncOder™ Shaft Encoders
IncOder™ Shaft Encoders are non-contact inductive angle encoders designed for high-precision angular measurement in demanding environments. Available in a wide range of sizes, they offer extensive mechanical, electrical, resolution, and connection options to suit diverse applications.
Unlike optical or capacitive sensors, which can suffer performance issues in the presence of condensation, dust, or other contaminants, IncOder™ encoders are engineered to remain reliable and accurate. Their robust construction and inductive technology make them ideal for use
in harsh industrial settings.
- Resistant to foreign matter — ideal for dusty or wet conditions
- IP67-rated versions available for enhanced environmental protection
- No need to earth the housing or shaft, unlike capacitive alternatives
- Durable aluminium alloy housings with corrosion-resistant finishes
- Stainless-steel shaft and premium materials used throughout
IncOder™ Shaft Encoder Outputs and Applications
IncOder™ Shaft Encoders contain all the electronics required to receive power and output a signal. This signal represents the absolute angular position of the shaft relative to the encoder’s housing.
Devices with absolute digital outputs—such as SSI, SPI, and others—are truly absolute, meaning they require no motion at power-up to determine position. Alternatively, A/B pulse output is available for incremental measurement.
IncOder™ encoders have a proven track record in demanding applications including:
- Industrial machinery
- Security and defence equipment
- Naval and marine systems
